The route
After a short briefing on a practice loop, the group follows a guide along forest tracks and gravel climbs with viewpoints over the reservoirs. Riders stop for photos and swap driver and passenger halfway, so everyone gets to drive.
Why it is worth the transfer
The scenery is the selling point: pine forest, granite and long open tracks. Because the route is off-road and away from traffic, the pace is genuinely fast, which is difficult to find inside the city.
Requirements
A valid driving licence is required for drivers. Helmets, goggles, fuel and the guide are included. Wear clothes you do not mind covering in dust, and bring sunglasses in summer.
