Madrid is the capital of late nights in Europe. Bars in La Latina and Huertas fill up at 22:00, the clubs around Gran Vía open at 00:30 and many run until 06:00. Breakfast at a churrería afterwards is a local tradition, not a joke. In other words, your group decides when the night ends.
Sol, La Latina, Malasaña, Huertas and Gran Vía sit within twenty minutes of each other on foot. Because of that, you spend your budget on activities instead of taxis, and nobody gets lost between bars. The metro covers the rest, including the airport, for a couple of euros.
Some groups want adrenaline, others want food, football and a long terrace lunch. Madrid covers both. You can run a padel tournament in the morning, walk the Bernabeu stadium tour at midday and finish with a guided tapas bar crawl. As a result, nobody feels dragged along.

Friday. Land, drop the bags and start with a segway tour so everyone knows the centre. Then tapas in La Latina, a rooftop for the first round and a bar in Malasaña. Keep it controlled, because Saturday is the big day.
Saturday. Late breakfast, then karting or paintball before lunch. In the afternoon, the Bernabeu tour or an escape room. Dinner at 21:30, the flamenco show at 22:00 and a club table booked from 01:00.
Sunday. A rooftop pool day in summer, or vermouth and a slow lunch in El Rastro in winter. Then the metro straight to Barajas. Meanwhile, whoever is worst off sleeps on the plane.

Barajas sits 15 minutes from the centre. The metro reaches Sol in about 30 minutes, the Airport Express bus runs 24 hours, and a taxi is a fixed fare to the central zone. Because of that, no group needs a transfer booked in advance.
